Course Overview
This course is designed for participants requiring qualifications as Safety Observers for live low voltage switchboard work to comply with Australian Standards AS/NZS 4836:2011 and Electrical Safety Regulation: 2013 in regards to Safety Observers. This qualification is required to be renewed every 12 months. This program also includes thorough training and assessment relating to the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Duration and Mode of Delivery: 3.5 hours (face to face) plus 1 hour of pre-course study
Reasonable Adjustment: FRA supports learners with recognised disabilities and makes adjustments, where possible, according to each individuals need. The level of adjustment required is determined on a case by case basis between FRA and the learner with a disability. FRA ensures any reasonable adjustment does not compromise the integrity of the competency standards.
Assessment Will Include: Written/Oral Questions, Practical Assessments & Scenario Based Assessments.
Includes: Text (LVR Electronic), Workbooks (LVR Electronic & CPR hard copy, handed out in class), Statement of Attainment (electronic).

Requirements
Entry Requirements: Nil.
USI: A USI (Unique Student Identifier) number is required for all accredited training in Australia. If you do not provide a USI number we may not be able to issue a Certificate/Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of training.

Pre-Course Study: The theory assessment component of this program must be completed prior to the face to face component. The completed assessment must be printed out and brought to class where it will be marked. You will need to allocate up to 1 hour to complete this.
Physical Requirements: A level of fitness and stamina is required to complete the CPR practical assessment by spending extended periods of time on your knees at floor level.
Dress Code: Please wear closed in shoes and comfortable clothing to enable you to kneel down on the floor for extended periods of time.
